CHOCAArts Residency is the base of CHOCAArts - an art group which encourages the general public to do art.
CHOCAArts Residency is a regular apartment in an apartment block in Caldas da Rainha, a city 80 km north of Lisbon, Portugal.
CHOCAArts Residency is dedicated to
artists, whatever level - whether complete novice or professional.
It offers short term residency: minimum stay = 4 nites , max stay = 3 month.
The prices are reasonable to be all inclusive, including discount for artists in 'financial need'.

Why choose my place?
CHOCA House is an apartment for art lovers of all levels. CHOCA = Chill Out Community Arts. CHOCA association is a small team of art coordinators where we have art sessions in the main room of a residential apartment. Ideally art sessions have about 4 / 5 participants.
CHOCA also work in schools, libraries etc in Lisbon.
Art activities include drawing, music and creative writing.
Currently CHOCA isn't very active and needs help with admin - especially social media and to work as a team member to help run more activities

About me and staff
The overall organiser is a 'small time' illustrator, painter and writer as well as an arts coordinator. The other 2 permanent residents r also artists / art students. We have a temporary member the team, 1: as an arts coordinator / art admin helper + 2: as a member of the community of the apartment.
Both in running the arts activities in-house + around Lisbon, and as community member living together each of us has an equal say - the overall organiser only steps in very rarely as 'captain of the ship' if things go off course. The temporary resident should be active, use initiative and give fresh ideas.

About me and staff
I consider myself a small time illustrator, painter and writer. I aim to earn about 500€ / 1000€ a month. I am happy to pay 15% commission on what the helper manages to sell.
I live in a an apartment in a small city 90km north of Lisbon. There are usually 2 other guests here.

Program Description
Both for my own art + the art group I need help with social media, uploading images onto facebook, instagram + youtube.
Activities & Shifts
U would need to work about 2 hours a day uploading on the computer.

Education
Was a pretty weak student. My school was pretty rigid and academic so i didnt feel i fitted in so i jusst sort of gave up.
Travel
I'm orginally from London, UK. I have travelled some but not a lot and wish i'd travelled more. I've been to Austria, Australia, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Romania, ScotlandSpain, Thailand, USA, Viet Nam, Wales
Work:
I organise art activites - and have run creative writing drawing, workshops for children and adults. I've taught English as a foreign language to all ages.
I coordinated art and taught English activities in Austria, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Thailand, Viet Nam
I've volunteered both at home where i now live in Portugal and in Thailand and Viet Nam - mainly coordinating art workshops, as well as mural drawings in hostels.

I organise a residential space for artists. It is a regular apartment in Caldas da Rainha , Portugal. There is:
